fatigued from work they ignored his health, his sweetooth, his weight.
Little Nate was a very compulsive child,
as his love for sweets unchecked ran wild.
It was the night before Halloween and little Nate was impatient,
so he stole a bit of candy to quell his craving sensation.
Parents oblivious so Nate took more,
stuffing his face at night behind his bedroom door.
His blood sugar was now very high,
but not from natural causes would little Nate die.
Fast asleep the sweet smell of his blood lingered,
unknowingly while little Nate gently sucked on his finger.
Mind clouded with thoughts of ice cream,
hoping soon to appear into a very sweet dream.
He found himself in an unsettling world,
around him a dark atmosphere swirled.

aka Pyramiddhead Ryan Nieves (b. 1993) is an illustrator, fine artist, and writer from Staten Island, NY, USA. Since early childhood Ryan has been drawing, around his freshman of college was he decided he wanted to commit to it. Thought a mostly self taught he received his BFA in art from the College of Staten Island in 2016. A majority of his work explores themes rooted in horror and dark in nature. He was inspired to take this route with his art after discovering the Silent Hill video game series.
