Demon #3 - The Murder Bug - oil on canvas 9x12

A bug lies dormant inside of man,
hard to pinpoint where it originates or where it began.

A bug unlike any illness, though associated with the mentally sick.
A forbidden deep primal instinct, twisted into a malicious fix...

When the bug awakes,
many lives will be taken,
many families left shaken.

A sharp sting fuels the urge,
starts an unjustifiable purge,
this dormant nightmare has emerged.

In a grisely fashion,
killing with an evil passion,
throats slit, bodies dismembered, and even faces bashed in
Empty eyes, A reflection of whats now inside,
the man comprised, by the demon that now resides.

Without much reason or rhyme,
the afflicted commit the crime,
the demon has waited a longtime...

Though many factors taken into account,
the victims will always amount,
there will be bodies to count.

Ryan Nieves

aka Pyramiddhead Ryan Nieves (b. 1993) is an illustrator, fine artist, and writer from Staten Island, NY, USA. Since early childhood Ryan has been drawing, around his freshman of college was he decided he wanted to commit to it. Thought a mostly self taught he received his BFA in art from the College of Staten Island in 2016. A majority of his work explores themes rooted in horror and dark in nature. He was inspired to take this route with his art after discovering the Silent Hill video game series. Ever since he has been creating his pieces, illustrations, and concept art primarily in graphite, a medium he loves and strives to master.
